What the connector does
The Anasa connector is a remote MCP server at https://anasa.md/api/mcp. It gives Claude three tools:

What you need
- An Anasa account with a license. Listing your inbox and checking your plan work with any license.
- An active Anasa Cloud plan to send notes, because notes travel through Anasa Cloud capture sync.
- The Anasa desktop app, which imports the notes into your vault.
Connect it
Claude on the web, desktop, or mobile: open Customize → Connectors and add Anasa. Until it appears in the directory, choose Add custom connector, enter https://anasa.md/api/mcp, and leave the OAuth client on Use Claude's published identity. When you connect, you are sent to accounts.anasa.md to sign in with your Anasa account and approve access for Claude. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds custom connectors under Organization settings → Connectors.
Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http anasa https://anasa.md/api/mcp, then run /mcp in a session and choose Anasa to sign in.
The approval screen asks for your profile and email. Anasa uses them only to find the license that belongs to your account.

What it can and cannot see
- It cannot read your vault. Vault sync is end-to-end encrypted: our servers hold only ciphertext and no key that opens it, so no server-side tool could read or search your notes even if we wanted one to. To let an AI app on your own computer search your vault, use the local MCP server in the Anasa desktop app (Settings → Developer) instead; it runs on your machine and never goes through our servers.
- It sees only what Claude sends it. Each note arrives as the text Claude passes to the tool. Anasa does not receive the rest of your Claude conversation.
- It sees your pending captures.
list_inboxreturns the notes still waiting in your inbox, including ones sent from other devices, so Claude can tell you what is there. - Notes do not stay on our servers. A note sent from Claude follows the same rules as any other capture: it is held until your desktop app imports it and is deleted from our servers straight after. See the Privacy Policy.
Disconnect
Remove Anasa under Customize → Connectors in Claude to stop access. Deleting your Anasa account also ends access, along with your pending captures.
When something fails
Claude relays the reason the connector gives it:
- "no license yet": the account you signed in with has no Anasa license. Buy one, or sign in with the account that owns your license.
- "Anasa Cloud is not active" or "has expired": sending notes needs an active Cloud plan.
- "Sync storage is full": open Anasa so it imports your pending captures, which frees the space.
